Mexico Earthquake, Strongest in a Century, Kills Dozens

Many areas of the world suffer from natural disaster. The most powerful earthquake in Mexico's history occurred. At least 32 peoples died in the southern part of the country. The government said the magnitude of the earthquake was 8.2, and about 50 million people across Mexico felt the earthquake. Also in the state of Chiapas, the toll there had risen to seven, and two children died in the state of Tabasco, one when a wall collapsed, the other after a respirator lost power in a hospital. In Mexico's southern Salina Cruz, tsunamis have been seen about 1 meter high, followed by large and small tsunamis.The tally of damage — and death — probably will be difficult to assess initially, given the remote nature of many areas.
