The Action for Peace through Prayer and Aid (APPA) and Dosan Dream International School (DDS) held a 2019 Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Party last November 21 at the Dream Church, Guri City, South Korea. The Turkey used on that day was ordered directly from the US Army in Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea, by Professor Jay Park, DDS US History teacher.
To celebrate the event, Dr. Paul Leaman (Head of School, Eastern Mennonite School of Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA) and Mrs. Leaman were invited and gave a congratulatory message to participants. For this event DDS students and their parents and English worship members from the Dream Church (Senior Pastor, Rev. & Dr. Kunyoung Hwang) also were invited.
Particularly for the event, DDS students explained to participants the historical background of Thanksgiving Day. Rev. Sangjin Choi, DDS Head of School and Senior Pastor of Dream Church English Ministry, said we want to hold this event every year and hope to invite locals and foreigners from Guri City and Namyangju City.
